PSA 7th Grade Student Wins Bronze in MathCON National
student with math medal[Chandler, AZ] Congratulations to Paragon Science Academy’s Ammar Hashmi for earning a Bronze Medal at the MathCON National Finals, held in Chicago on April 27th. Ammar was one of the finalists in a competition that started with 52,000 students across 46 states. 7th grader Ammar, who is captain of PSA’s MathCounts team, is no stranger to winning national math awards: He has participated at nationals the last three years and has earned a medal every time! This year, he also placed 5th out of 100 competitors in the fun section of the competition, the Rubik’s Cube challenge. According to their website, MathCON is a nonprofit, national mathematics organization for students in grades 5-12. Learn more at www.mathcon.org
