National Science Magazine Features Teacher’s Research
teacher anna newley[Phoenix, AZ] – The research article starts: “After a full day of teaching K-12 science, Ms. Newley replaces her science teacher hat and becomes coach of after school robotics”. That’s our Ms. Anna Newley, B.A., M.Ed, who lives and breathes all things STEM at Sonoran Science Academy-Phoenix.

In its Engineering Encounters: Creating a Classroom Culture for Engineering section, Science and Children’s April/May edition, the same Ms. Anna Newley can be found as a published researcher.

In a nine page article titled, “Animatronic Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, Oh My! How computational thinking and 3D printing can help students create an animatronic zoo”, Ms. Newley and her co-authors share strategies, insights, and data to help science teachers around the nation infuse their classrooms and enthuse their students with technology.

For those of us who know her, it comes as no surprise to see her sharing her knowledge and expertise in a national science publication to help other teachers achieve what she has achieved for the benefit of students and we couldn’t be prouder of her! Congratulations and well done, Ms. Newley!
