SSA Teacher Published in Science Scope
We're so proud to report that our very own Mrs. Newley was published in the prestigious science-teaching magazine Science Scope.  In the article, she details the strategies that have been so successful for her as she has led elementary, middle, and high school robotics teams to create amazing pieces of techno-wizardry.
In the article, Newley lays out the materials, time expense, and expectations to help other teachers achieve the success that she has found.
"We believe that this project helps middle school students reinforce the STEM and CS concepts taught in class and improves underrepresented students’ self-efficacy not only in STEM, but also in computational thinking," Newley states in the article.
Hummingbird Robotics is an incredibly popular program among the students at SSA Phoenix, and we're thrilled that Mrs. Newley is sharing her knowledge and expertise to help STEM teachers around the country to adopt this great opportunity!
