PSA Alumna Earns Congressional Silver Medal

Even in the summer, great things are happening in the Paragon community.

In mid-June, PSA graduate Gala Palavicini received her U.S. Congressional Silver medal. Gala’s parents and her CMLP mentor, Ms. Asli, watched proudly as U.S. Congressman Andy Biggs presented Gala with her medal in a ceremony at his office.

PSA encourages students to participate in the Congressional Award program, as a wonderful opportunity to grow as a person and to serve.

According to their website, The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all young people ages 14 to 23. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas; Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Learn more at: http://congressionalaward.org
